Winsidr

Before the 2019 WNBA season, I decided to get involved with the league as a journalist. I first got interested in the WNBA during the great Minnesota-Los Angeles Finals matchup in 2016. Then, I became a full-fledged fanatic when I moved to DC and got to watch Elena Delle Donne and the Washington Mystics play regularly.

I started writing for Winsidr.com right as the season kicked off and had a great experience. I worked as a beat writer, national blogger, editor, podcast host, and live stream host. My timing was impeccable as the Mystics won the WNBA championship in my first season covering the team.

My work ranged from blog posts breaking down the advanced analytics of the Indiana Fever’s midrange jumpers to articles explaining how the Mystics’ built the best offense in WNBA history. I also wrote power rankings and reaction posts with a league-wide focus.

I edited every article posted on the site and worked with our team of writers on story ideas. I also helped managed the Winsidr twitter and instagram accounts. I co-hosted the Winsidr Show, one of the most successful WNBA podcasts. I also hosted the Winsidr live streams during the WNBA playoffs.

You can find my articles for Winsidr on the home page or on my author’s page on the site: https://winsidr.com/author/gabe-ibrahim/. Check out some of my podcast appearances and live streams below.
